{"id":9833,"date":"2026-04-07T01:20:28","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T08:20:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.apllogistics.com\/?p=9833"},"modified":"2026-04-07T10:53:55","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T17:53:55","slug":"new-uae-shipment-requirements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.apllogistics.com\/2026\/04\/new-uae-shipment-requirements","title":{"rendered":"Customer Advisory: New UAE Shipment Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The United Arab Emirates has announced a new regulatory requirement for shipments destined to the UAE:<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Maritime Pre-Load Cargo Information (MPCI)<\/strong> filing is an advance cargo declaration mandated by UAE authorities, requiring shipment data to be submitted electronically prior to loading at the port of origin.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative has been introduced to strengthen supply chain security, improve cargo visibility, and support risk assessment processes before cargo departs to the UAE.<\/p>\n<p>Under this framework, key shipment details such as shipper, consignee, cargo description, and transport information are transmitted to the authorities in advance of loading.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Once submitted, the data is reviewed by UAE Customs, and a status response is issued to confirm whether the cargo can proceed as planned.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This requirement will become effective <strong>June 30th<\/strong> and will apply to applicable ocean shipments destined for or transiting through the UAE ports.<\/p>\n<p>This will also <strong>impact forwarders \/ NVOCCs who issue a House Bill of Lading<\/strong>. Going forward, maritime house-level filers are required to submit a MPCI filing with HBL (House Bill of Lading) details to UAE Customs.<\/p>\n<p>APLL teams have completed the necessary requirements to support MPCI filings in alignment with this regulation, ensuring a smooth transition as the requirement comes into effect.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, we do not expect any impact on our customers\u2019 businesses.
